Stump table

$800.00

When I first moved to Wisconsin this stump was laying in the back yard of the house I rented. Naturally, being a woodworker, I saw some potential in it, so I threw it in my truck and held on to it for several years. Eventually I got the idea for this coffee table. I liked the idea of incorporating a planter base into what used to be the stump of a dying tree. The stump is pine with beautiful subtle blue/gray streaks and the table surface and supports are elm. It’s finished with a five percent white hardwax oil to give it a more modern look. The planter base is sealed with epoxy so there’s no threat of water damage from the plants.

It is 17” x 10” and 5” deep so it will hold quite an array of plants. The over all table size is: 21” high x 36” wide x 33” deep and weighs about 60 pounds but the top can be removed for easier transportation.
